Take Courage, He Is Near

Jesus walks across the water beneath a luminous sky—a quiet yet powerful picture of His authority over the sea. With soft blue-gray tones and an expansive horizon, this Christian wall art invites us to remember: When we are afraid, we can turn to Christ and trust the One who meets His people amid uncertainty.

Rooted in Matthew 14:22–33

When the disciples saw Jesus walking toward their boat on the water, they were terrified. He reassured them with the words, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Peter stepped toward Him, but when fear overwhelmed him and he began to sink, he cried out—and Jesus reached out to catch him.

Take Courage reflects that invitation to trust Jesus. Our confidence rests in who He is, even when our own faith feels fragile. The passage leads us beyond admiration of a miracle to worship of Christ, whom the disciples acknowledged as the Son of God.

Displayed in a familiar place, this artwork can prompt a simple practice: pause, bring a worry to Jesus in prayer, and remember His faithfulness. For families, the scene also opens conversations about courage, asking for help, and turning to Christ when we feel overwhelmed.
